Baby Blanket

I finished my third ever crochet project this past weekend – and just in time!  My friend Allison had her baby on Monday morning and now Colbin Frederick will be able to enjoy this lovely afgahan I made him. 

Here is hoping Colbin likes his blanket and it keeps him warm and snuggly on the upcoming cold winter nights!

 Let me know what you think of my choice of colors.  My husband made fun of me for not making a “baby” blanket for the baby.  But I decided that I wanted to make a blanket for a “boy” instead.  Something he can use after he has outgrown powder blue and light yellow. 

I’m on to my next two afgahans, another at the request of my son and one that will be a Christmas gift for my mother-in-law. 

I’m excited that I have found a craft that I really like and that can produce something tangible for me to share with those I love.  I’m also excited to have found a craft that produces something that is a finished product.  After several years of “Craft ADD” and relentless teasing from my husband – he can officially get off my back when I start a new project.  I am 3 for 3 with my crochet projects baby!
