Also "The Thing", "Dawn of the Dead" (2005), "Ringu", "Resident Evil" and "Silent Hill" are all top quality spooky flicks. And I can't believe you've NEVER seen "Night Of The Living Dead". Are you serious??? And "Evil Dead" is alos a great horror film. Got a wicked sense of humor to it! In my personal opinion, modern horror films are NOT as much fun as the horror films from the 70's. Today's horror films show way too much. It takes the "scary" away and instead replaces it with gore. I don't mind gore, if it's done right. That's also why I like "28 Days Later". Very good combo of dread and scary. I don't know if I would put "Lost Highway", "Seven", "Silence Of The Lambs", or "Henry" on here. Not really horror films.
