Several months ago, our clinic received some posters and post-cards that told of an event coming to Columbus in July of 2008. The Lance Armstrong Foundation will hold The LIVESTRONG Summit at OSU this summer. They accepted applications for Delagates and 1,000 people were chosen.
I was one of them.
I am honored and thrilled and overwhelmed that I will get to participate in this event! To quote the promotional card, I will: “Learn how to lead my community through grassroots efforts to make cancer a national priority.“ I will: “Get inspired by noteworthy conference speakers.“ I will: “Empower myself to effect change by attending sessions to suit my interests in areas of advocacy, fundraising and elections.“
Here is to being chosen to help make a difference. I hope I do my father proud.
